What are Wordpress Widgets and how to manage?


Some people I know thought using Wordpress is complicated they moved no step to use Wordpress for their blogs. Well, these people should see the different variety of innovation stored for them.

Given that the community of Wordpress includes the dilemma of most of the bloggers, they find solutions that benefit all users of Wordpress. An example is the use of widget Wordpress. These widget collections allow users to customize their site without having to go through the process of coding. All they need to do is drag a certain widget in the widget area and drop it to the target sidebar content. Easy right?

How what do we do then? I'll show you how.

Any theme Wordpress by default, you will find on the sidebar (located on the right side of the site) the various components. Each of these components, such as Pages, Archives, categories, Blogroll and Meta consist of widgets.

What are the Wordpress Widgets?
Widgets are plug-ins which has different functions that are useful for putting content on your site without having to go through the process of coding.

Since each of these widgets are only designed for its function, it is better to learn about some common widgets usually used for sites before applying widgets in your Wordpress blog.

How to manage the Wordpress Widgets?
Here I show you step by step, the management of the widgets below.

First, log on to your Wordpress admin page.

Once you are in the admin area, find the "Appearance" button in the left side of your admin page.

Click the "appearance". In the "Appearance" page, it shows the theme you are currently using and the different themes that you can choose. In your current default theme, note the various options that your theme is built. This information is useful in the choice of your theme. Since it is crucial for your site to function well, make sure that the theme you choose for your blog site is has a block enabled for the widget.

Click on the submenu button "Widget". Under the "Appearance" menu, you find submenu different. Once you click on the button "Widgets", that the widgets interface appears showing the widgets available in the widget area. Each widget has its own function, you can choose one of these widgets according to the needs of your site. All you need to do is drag a certain widget in the region of widget in the target box and drop it to where you want it to appear.

Once your widgets are installed on your target sidebar, it is expected to function as a result.

How to work with Plugins with Widgets?
If you think that you need more widgets and you seem cannot find the type of widget you think could adapt your site in the widget area, everything you need to do is search for new widgets.

To do this:

Click on the menu "plugins" located in the left side of your admin under the "Appearance" menu right Then in the sub-menu under "plugins", click on the link "add new".

"Install the Plugin" interface should appear. There are two options to search for widgets. The first is to key in the key word in the section search for plugin or click on the tags available in the plugin directory. Given that we are looking for widget, we click for tag widget.

If you chose either options result would reveal different widgets to choose who you think may be useful for your site.

It is assumed that you have already selected some a widget for your site, all you need to do is click on the link "Install" located in the upper right a just wanted widget plugin under the category of "Action".

By clicking on the action of the installation must be the plugin info page.

The images above show the full description of the selected plugin and contains all the information and the different characteristics of the widget, and if the plugin is compatible with your version of Wordpress or not. Assumed you find some plugin, click on the "install now" button in the upper right of the pop-up window.

Once installed, enable the plugin said. This automatically puts the widget to the list of enabled plugins enabled.

Now that we have installed and activated the widget, go to the "widget" area, where you can find the widgets preinstalled, note that the widget newly installed and enabled is already included in the available widgets area. Yet again, to add the widget to your site, make drag and drop the widget in your sidebar target.

After the entire process, all you need to do now is visit your site and see the changes. Who says now that Wordpress is complicated?
