How to change the WordPress Widgets


One of the things that most people like Wordpress is built into the widget system. Widgets make it really easy to manage the elements of the sidebar of your blog or your Web site. Depending on your theme, you may also be able to use widgets to control the other sections of your WordPress blog or Web site.

However, to take advantage of the widget system, you need to learn how to modify WordPress widgets to suit your needs. Because of the good news is really, really easy.

Getting started with widgets, just go to the widgets section in the WordPress administration panel. If you are not familiar with this, you will find the link to the section widgets on the left side of the screen.

Once you are in the widgets section, you will see a variety of different options available to you. WordPress comes with a handful of built in widgets, such as posts, recent comments, tags, categories, and looking for.

To enable one of these widgets, simply click on and drag it to the sidebar section which is on the right side of the screen. Then let go of your mouse button to automatically place the widget in the sidebar that you choose.

Another thing cool widgets is that you can drag and move to determine the order that they appear on your sidebar. They will appear exactly as you place them in the widget screen. If you place above posts recent recent comments, then they will be displayed just like that on your blog or your Web site.

Also far only edition of widgets, each widget has options which can be configured. If you see an arrow next to the name of the widget, you can click it to expand. Then you will have a variety of options that can be customized for this specific widget. A good example of this is fixed the number of posts recent show.
