El Camino The Black Keys

El Camino - The Black Keys

I really despise when albums get bad reviews solely based on the argument that "the new stuff doesn't sound anything like their last album that I really loved. Oh, they have gone so mainstream. Blah Blah Blah." Why would any musician or artist want to create the same exact sound, or tone from their previous work? I am personally tired of artists and

21 ADELE

Someone Like You - 21
What else can be said of this album other than that it is simply amazing? Adele's voice is powerful, vulnerable, assured, and heartbreaking all in one fell swoop. While most of today's pop stars rely on auto-tune, guest rappers, and flashy video pyrotechnics, Adele brings music back to it's core and makes you feel and hear every word she

Christmas Michael Bublé

Christmas - Michael Bublé

This album will be an instant classic. It is a recording that will join those like The Carpenters Christmas album or Barbra Streisand's Christmas album and will be one that people listen to every year to instantly bring all of the emotions and spirit of Christmas to their homes.

Beyond Magnetic

Beyond Magnetic - EP - Metallica

In December 2011, Metallica celebrated its 30-year mark with four nights of unhinged rock mania for fans at San Francisco's famed Fillmore. Each night the band performed a "new" song—a previously unreleased cut from the sessions for its 2008 Death Magnetic album. Knowing how quickly word spread on these tracks, the band released this four-track EP of that material just as soon as those historic shows wrapped up. Not live cuts or demos, these are four fully formed songs from the band's studio time. "Hate Train" kicks things off with a nearly unstoppable pace, furious riffs, and the kind of invective that only James Hetfield can dig up. Bookended by a righteous call-to-arms by the name of "River of Babylon," this EP adds a few more flames to the Metallica inferno.

The Essential NOW That's What I Call Christmas

The Essential NOW That's What I Call Christmas - Various Artists

There's pretty much something here for anyone who celebrates Christmas. Spanning carols recorded from 1957 to 2007, this jubilant collection boasts a whopping 25 tracks, sung by everyone from Andy Williams and The Jackson 5 to Elton John and The Chipmunks. The opening song "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" by John & Yoko and The Plastic Ono Band with The Harlem Community Choir is truly a perfect way to set the tone for a 2008 Holiday compilation. And hearing folk singer Burl Ives' traditional take on "A Holly Jolly Christmas" conjures up images of his character Sam the Snowman who narrated the 1964 stop-motion animated Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Following Ives' tune with singing cowboy Gene Autry's warm version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" was a good idea, as was including the classically campy "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" by Elmo & Patsy. Paul McCartney's synth-laden "Wonderful Christmastime" may not be an "essential" carol, but it's as catchy as it is weird. Wham! makes the yuletide gay with their romantically groovy "Last Christmas" and Colbie Caillat's "Mistletoe" seems sure to invoke smooching in sweaters.

Nothing Personal (Bonus Track Version) All Time Low

Nothing Personal (Bonus Track Version) - All Time Low

Their first album out of high school, Nothing Personal continues to punch with the power of dire adolescent emotions on topics about girls, senioritis, summer parties and crowning thy good with brotherhood. Like their previous works, Nothing Personal is loaded with diamond-barbed hooks, though a cherry-picked team of producers helped hone them. S*A*M & Sluggo, Matt Squire, and David Bendeth share production duties on the opening insta-hit “Weightless,” a contagiously catchy song with well thought-out lyrics, flawless musicianship, and an air-tight mix. “Break Your Little Heart” comes out of the gates sounding more aggressive as both guitars take the driver’s seat. The hormonally fueled “Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t) was mixed by studio wizard Butch Walker, which may account for why it’s the most infectious tune here with it’s descending “Oh-oh-oh” lure in the chorus. Conversely, summery ballad “Too Much” (produced by The-Dream) rolls smooth and slow with a delightfully overused auto-tuner.

Love Drunk - Single Boys Like Girls

Love Drunk - Single - Boys Like Girls

Boys Like Girls' self-titled debut album was an unexpected success, eventually going gold. Devoid of any hit singles, the album seemed to catch on because it was a perfect distillation of the emo-pop sound with no rough edges to scare people away. For the follow-up, 2009's Love Drunk, the band sticks to the same basic template of slick emo-pop with uptempo songs that sound stadium singalong-friendly and ballads that seem destined to melt teenage girls' hearts. The difference this time is that the songwriting is improved and the songs hookier, especially the rockers. "She's Got a Boyfriend Now" and "Contagious" sound like 2000s updates of the classic '80s sound of pop/rockers like Bryan Adams and Rick Springfield.

Just the Way You Are - Single Bruno Mars

Just the Way You Are - Just the Way You Are - Single

Bruno Mars is a great singer. He has some good songs out there but he's disappointed me now. Maybe it wasn't his fault but this song has the exact same beat as "Doesn't Mean Anything" by Alicia Keys. And his songs are becoming more predictable. I will say he's better than other male artists out there. He deserves to be famous but has to watch

I was a huge fan of yours since before you toured with Panic! At The Disco but this song to me seems like you sold out. I will wait for the album to make any more judgements. But I miss the while the city sleeps side of cobra starship.

Rihanna-We Found Love

We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris) - Single - Rihanna

Rihanna established her dance-pop credentials in summer 2005 with her debut smash hit, "Pon de Replay," and continued to demonstrate hit potential in subsequent years (e.g., "S.O.S." in 2006; "Umbrella" in 2007; "Disturbia" in 2008). However, it was the singer's third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, that made her a full-fledged international pop star with a regular presence atop the charts. Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988, in Saint Michael, Barbados, she exhibited a certain star quality...
